Chocolate

Lately I borrowed in a library a novel entitled Chocolat. The book is written by Joanna Harris in 1999 and published in Poland by a publishing house Prószyński i S-ka. What’s more the novel encouraged me to see a film adaptation with Johny Deep and Juliette Binoche. The book narrate a history of Vianne Rocher and her daughter – Anouk. They arrive to little village Lansquenet-sous-Tannes where the time stopped. The woman redecorate an old bakery and open a shop with chocolates on the first Sunday of Lent. A priest Francis condemn the protagonist. Vianne help inhabitants and give them chocolates to improve their humor. One day pirates arrive to Lansquenet-sous-Tannes. A captain Roux bring together to Vianne. What will happen? I encourage you to read the novel. It is really interesting and wonderful. I like it because the book tell us that differences between humans aren’t important. Moreover a descent or a color of skin doesn’t matter. It’s necessary to notice goodness in other people, help them, smile and love. Further a continuation this book are The Lollipop Shoes.

Books

It’s a big catastrophe! Last year 60% of Poles didn’t read any book. It is a very shameful success. But why don’t we read? I think this is a huge influence of the mass media. We prefer watch TV or play computer games than borrow an interesting book. Therefore our brain work less. We watch the films without comprehension. A lack of time and a progress of technology do that we are more backward (as for an intellectual development). Only 10% of Poles read over 7 books last year. A rate of reading is the highest between 15 and 19 years old and indicate 65% in view of compulsory school – students must read essential readings.

So I encourage you to buy or borrow books and read them. It is the best way to relax and to broaden our knowledge.

Kyo

I’m going to tell you about one of  my favorite…French bands. As you know – I love everything connected with France. So I want to present Kyo. Firstly this is the pop rock band founded in 1994. The name of group is inspired by anime and manga. The members are Benoît Poher, Florian Dubos, Nicolas Chassagne and Fabien Dubos. They met at university and they discovered mutual interests – Nirvana, Radiohead, Pearl Jam and of course manga. At first they were playing for theirs friends and at university. After the guys met Yves Michel Akle – the future manager. Thereby they made career and were popular. What’s more first they collaborated with Sony and later they signed a contract with Jive/Zomba France. The band’s second album Le chemain received in 2003 three Victoires de la musique  and had sold over one million copies. Unfortunately in 2005 they decided to take a break. In the meantime the band composed charity song Fights Aids Monaco. Finally they came back last year with two singles Le Graal and L’équilibre.
What is very interesting – a sound track FIFA 06 include Kyo’s song Contact.

I must tell you that this year my dream came true and I had a chance to be at the concert of Kyo! :)

My favorite songs are: Poupées russes and  Dernière danse.

Before break...

...and now

Coma

I want to tell you something about Coma and his song Daleka droga do domu. Firstly this is a Polish rock band founded in 1998 in Łódź. It is inspired by Perl Jam or Illusion. The members are  Piotr Rogucki, Dominik Witczak, Marcin Kobza , Rafał Matuszak and Adam Marszałkowski. They were playing in diverse group when one day they decided to create own band. Further the band signed a contract with a company earMusic/Edel which cooperate Deep Purple or Europe.I like so much Piotr Rogucki (the vocalist) and his unique voice.

As for song it makes us think about our life. It introduces to reflective mood, thereby, we must contemplate what we want to achieve. Have we got enough strength and motivation? The paradox is that somebody is depressed during spring time. It could seem that on May both people and nature brings to life. What’s more humans fall in love! Nevertheless the person in this song hesitate. A man (probably) is all at sea, he has got black thoughts. Moreover he doesn’t know if he will manage. In spite of depression the man has got hope (who is the most important). He would like to find wasted time and start once again.

Imagine Dragons

I would like to tell you something about American band Imagine Dragons and their song Demons. First of all they come from Las Vegas, Nevada.  A group was founded in 2008 (the guys met when they were students). The members are: Dan Reynolds, Ben McKee, Wayne "Wing" Sermon and Daniel Platzman. As for a kind of music it’s alternative rock and Indie rock. The band’s debut album Night Vision had sold over 2 million copies in the U.S. alone.

As regard Demons this is my favorite American song.

After hearing immediately I love it! It says that we all have some sort of demons inside us. We all fight them. We can try to live a good life there are still elements of darkness. The band uses a bit of a religious metaphor. I think that the lyrics refer to the present time. We are often like demons or beast. Very egoistic. Further we are able to destroy others people (even our friends) to succeed, to achieve the aim. The aim – what is it? Money, fame and luxury – mundane matters. This is only “the masquerade”. Probably love or good people can help us to run away from this bad world, to change for the better. What’s more the clip ends with a dedication to Tyler Robinson a fan of the band who died at the age of 17 in March 2013 following a battle with cancer.

Sport

At the present time more and more people spend their time for playing on the computer or sending text messages. It is fashionable to click “I like it” on the Facebook and write a lot of comments per day. However I protest against such behavior.

I would like to encourage you to spend your time actively. What I mean to say is that we should practice sport. Running, swimming or jogging? It’s your choice! It is important to move every day.

First of all you keep fit. Your body is slim and well-built.  It’s a big advantage. Secondly sport is good for the health. Moreover you strengthen your immunity and in consequence you are sick very rarely. What’s more sport is the best way to relax. When you ran, you could forget about nervous situations and all problems. Thereby it set your mind free and gives you great energy.

Judging from the advantages it is good for us to practice sport regularly. To sum up I encourage you to move more. So......

Let’s go!

There are mugs, posters, T-shirts, pens, postcards, earrings, necklace, box, mouse pad and pendants. As you can guess – a name of my blog concerns my interests.

I like spending actively my free time (running, swimming, cycling or roller blading). To my mind this is the best way for reduce stress.
Although living in a city I prefer village when I practice sports in the bosom of nature.

In my blog I’m going to describe myself, my interests or ordinary days.

That’s all for today. Good afternoon ;)
